I am so grateful for the incredible Summer Camp experiences my daughter had. It was truly wonderful! Anamaria came home every day full of excitement, having learned and understood so many valuable lessons that even I had tried to teach her. My stay in Austin and the Image & Purpose program was truly a life-changing experience for me. It taught me to look at others with new eyes and, most importantly, to see myself in a completely different way. When I arrived in Texas, I felt overwhelmed by a very painful situation I was going through in Quito with my friends. But I left the Summer Camp feeling like a completely new person: Confident in who I am, in how I present myself, in my relationships, and in what I can—and cannot—change. I discovered that I can face difficult moments without losing who I am, and without compromising my values and priorities. Today, I study at the University of Navarra, surrounded by friends and activities that bring me joy. I am happy, authentic, and stronger than ever!

I really liked the style board we made and the partner actives as well. Maria Paula’s lecture were very inspirational and motivational and I loved those as well! Mostly I liked finding a group of friends who all value modest and their faith, because most of the time you can’t find that at school.

Before coming to the camp, I never really thought about my personal style—I just wore whatever everyone else was wearing. But during the sessions, I discovered that the clothing style I truly enjoy is minimalist. I realized that I feel most myself when I keep things simple, clean, and elegant. Learning about proportions, colors, and how clothes can communicate who I am gave me so much clarity and confidence.

I became more self-aware and conscious of my personal and professional growth. This experience encouraged me to make intentional decisions and approach challenges with clarity.

Our 13-year-old daughter, Arianna, was interested in a cultural immersion experience with a focus on Latin culture and Spanish language and she found those things and much more in the Cultural Immersion Program provided by Maria Paula. About midway through the program Arianna called telling us that she did not want to leave. She had so many wonderful experiences: gourmet cooking, fashion design, photography, whale watching, surfing, making friends with girls in the program and with Ecuadoran girls in the bilingual private school. She gained confidence not only in her ability to understand and speak Spanish but also in who she is as a person. She returned home with gains in her self-esteem and independence. We are proud of her confidence, grace and maturity upon her return home. Her experience in the program was truly a transformative one.
